Cloud Infrastructure Architect
The Intersect Group is hiring for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect. This is a contract position, with a set duration of up to 3 years. This position requires someone to be based out of South Carolina and be onsite 2 days/week. This position would also require an on-call duty about one week every 3-4 weeks.
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will maintain and operate the framework that provided Guided Kubernetes (Kubernetes as a Service) solutions for customers. They will troubleshoot cluster creation failure and upgrade sub-components in preparing for overall KaaS quarterly upgrade using DevOps tools, investigate issues through log analysis, and answer issues generated from ticket system. Other responsibilities include answering issues generated from ticket systems, building test Kubernetes clusters both guided and manually, suggesting improvement based on repetitive issues, verifying and updating technical and process documentation, and staying up to date on technology stack (cloud, logging solutions, HW Clusters, Monitoring Solutions).
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will support several projects such as Product Excellence, Guided Kubernetes Cluster Solution, AWS/Azure Cloud Security, Maintenance of Department Application Environments, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence/BitBucket) Splunk, TSL/SS Certificates, Bash Script Editing/Creating. The Cloud Infrastructure Architect would be responsible for supporting 2 projects at a time.
Required Skills & Experience:
- REQUIRED EDUCATION: BA/BS Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years professional IT related experience
- MS Degree Preferred
- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years of Technical Experience in Information Technology to include 2+ years of experience delivering cloud architectures
- AWS Cloud Architecture Certification OR AWS Developers Certification REQUIRED
- Must have Analytics Experience with Splunk, Grafana, or a BI Platform
- Must have experience in AWS or Azure
- Ability to understand business needs and how it translates into an IT Framework

Work Hours:
