Job Title: Network Operations Engineer
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Engineer to provide operational support for networked computing systems. This role is essential in ensuring the availability, stability, and security of network systems to support the enterprise user community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network systems infrastructure continuously to ensure optimal availability and performance.
- Support User Support Analysts in resolving system anomalies through advanced problem analysis and resolution.
- Maintain and update network systems to ensure stability and security.
- Manage technical project activities related to network systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of network architecture, including routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and SDWAN.
- Provide leadership by backing decisions with research and articulating options with pros and cons.
- Assist in training and mentoring User Support team members and handle trouble tickets as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Deploy and maintain network architecture, including SASE and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Define design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
Consultation Responsibilities:
- Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, and technical design for network projects.
- Ensure that delivered solutions meet technical and functional requirements.
- Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues, including workaround solutions or escalations.
- Collaborate with project sponsors to manage scope and risk, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Offer technical governance related to cloud architectures and operations.
Thought Leadership:
- Provide thought leadership in solving complex business requirements and technology integration.
- Demonstrate forward-thinking regarding the organization’s direction and how technology can support its goals.
