Job Title: Senior Accountant
Overview: We are seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for assisting with accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in regulatory reporting and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing new regulatory reporting software.
- Complete and maintain regulatory reports, including Call Reports, FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, TIC Reports, and more.
- Perform analytical reviews, variance analysis, and reconciliations between the general ledger and reporting systems.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance process for regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in accounting for complex transactions, including loan sales, acquisitions, and goodwill impairment valuations.
- Guide and train junior staff as needed.
- Interface with management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
- CPA license preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within financial services.
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
