Senior Director of Finance

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Finance to oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, financial standards, insurance, audits, investments, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders, forecast financial outcomes, and align the company’s financial plans with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounting policies, financial standards, insurance, audits, investments, and internal controls.
• Communicate financial matters with internal/external stakeholders, including C-Suite, vendors, board members, and payroll providers.
• Forecast financial outcomes and advise on company budget allocations.
• Supervise up to 3 direct reports, including a Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Director of Sourcing and Procurement.
• Oversee corporate accounting, financial planning, and reporting functions.
• Analyze and forecast DGR (Donated Goods Retail) revenue, the primary revenue stream.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• 15+ years of accounting experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in a mid-sized/non-profit organization.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Jet Reports and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Business Central (MS Dynamics system).
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.
• Process improvement mindset.
• MBA is a plus.
• Big 4 (or top 10) Public Accounting experience is highly preferred.
