We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and special projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in accounting, compliance, and financial analysis.
Role Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for consolidated financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial analyses, supporting audit processes, and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial controls, inventory analysis, and corporate compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with audit coordination, including preparing consolidated schedules and financial analyses.
- Review quarterly impairment analyses and cash flows for underperforming assets.
- Analyze inventory aging, land held for development, and joint ventures for financial accuracy.
- Ensure SOX compliance, including reviewing quarterly testing and certification processes.
- Consolidate and report on land purchases, lot detail, and treasury-related financials.
- Support financial reporting processes, including 10-Q and 10-K reviews.
- Manage special projects related to financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial analysis.
- Experience with inventory analysis, impairment tracking, and cash flow reporting.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with senior management.
