We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead full-cycle accounting operations and provide strategic support to finance leadership. This role is instrumental in managing key accounting functions including month-end close, payroll processing, fixed asset management, and account reconciliations. The Accounting Manager will also supervise accounts payable and serve as a subject matter expert across departments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Oversee and perform account reconciliations for payroll, investments, receivables, and other balance sheet items.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and accurate reporting.
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations.
- Supervise accounts payable operations, identifying efficiencies and ensuring accurate, timely transactions.
- Support financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting matters and improve operational procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of GAAP and ensure compliance across all accounting functions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including payroll, general ledger oversight, and audit support.
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll systems; experience with Paylocity and Great Plains ERP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, fixed asset management, and payroll compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, resolve discrepancies, and drive process improvements.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
