Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager

Job Summary:
The Intersect Group is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics Manager for our direct client, where you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. This role oversees the BI/Analytics team, manages data analytics initiatives, and ensures the delivery of actionable insights across the organization. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and execute the BI/Analytics strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI/Analytics team.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

Data Management & Analysis:

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across systems.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from large datasets to support strategic initiatives.

Technology & Tools:

  • Evaluate and implement BI tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Optimize the use of platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or other BI software.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to manage data warehouse systems and ensure scalability.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with departments such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Sales to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and standards.
  • Performance Metrics:
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of BI initiatives.
  • Continuously improve BI processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.


Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Extensive experience building reports, visualizations and dashboards for different functional areas like Operations, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in data quality, profiling and analysis
  • Exposure to cloud data stacks (eg., Snowflake)  is a plus
  • Experience with data science and machine learning is a plus
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
