We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of networking technologies and a proactive approach to managing enterprise-level systems. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the company’s network infrastructure. You will take part in architecture reviews, develop new standards for network administration, and troubleshoot complex issues across a variety of systems. Your expertise will be vital in supporting, maintaining, and upgrading network hardware and software, while mentoring junior engineers and administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT teams on architecture reviews, ensuring all network standards and requirements are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve network stability, scalability, and sustainability.
- Research and recommend automation and innovative approaches to streamline network administration tasks.
- Maintain network documentation to improve governance and management.
- Oversee daily system monitoring, troubleshoot network issues, and manage network infrastructure including core network, wireless, and remote office setups.
- Perform network-related backups, disaster recovery operations, and hardware/software repairs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior network administrators and engineers.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of network administration experience with a deep understanding of network technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or 2+ years of equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications: CCNP / JNCIP / JNCIS or equivalent credentials.
- Advanced expertise with network technologies, including Firewall, Routing, Switching (Aruba, Juniper), and SDWAN (Velo Cloud).
- Proficiency with POTS, DS1/T1, Fiber, VoIP, SIP, and various network CLI languages (Aruba, Cisco, Juniper).
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, iBGP, MPLS, VPN, and Spanning Tree.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems creatively.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience administering large-scale, distributed enterprise networks with over 200 sites.
- Familiarity with Wireshark, network troubleshooting tools, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with Aruba switches, Airwave, Clearpass, and large-scale network upgrades.
- AWS Associate level certification.
