Accounting and HR Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting and HR Specialist to manage the day-to-day accounting operations while gradually taking on HR responsibilities. This hybrid role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in accounting, looking for a long-term career path. The majority of your responsibilities will involve accounting tasks, while HR duties will be added as you grow comfortable in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including logging credit card payments, wire transfers, and handling client payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, process payroll, 401k contributions, and manage firm bills
  • Run month-end reports and handle invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
  • Support HR functions such as managing the hiring process, onboarding, employee relations, and organizing firm events (e.g., Lunch and Learns, firm outings)
  • Update office policy manuals and assist with administrative HR tasks as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of accounting experience, especially in billing and bank reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience managing billing, handling AR, and performing month-end accounting duties
  • Familiarity with HR tasks and processes (training, onboarding, etc.)
  • Preferred experience with CenterBase (billing system), ADP, and payroll processes
  • ERP exposure is a plus
  • Someone seeking longevity in their career, with a focus on process improvement and adding value as the role grows
