 Product Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the product lifecycle, management, development, profitability, and market share growth for assigned product categories.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on product development projects using established processes like the Product Development Council and Product Development Process.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive cost-reduction initiatives and maintain profitability in the product portfolio.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify and address product gaps through activities like product tear-downs, customer surveys, online research, and process evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain a five-year multi-generation product roadmap.
  • Liaison with the quality team to monitor product quality and warranty metrics, implementing corrective solutions and programs as necessary.
  • Foster cross-divisional collaboration to jointly develop products, technologies, and share best practices.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track and drive growth in market share, unit volume, profitability, and customer/product mix trends.
  • Provide analytical support for marketing programs and product portfolio enhancements.
  • Conduct market research and customer sensing activities to refine product designs.
  • Collaborate across departments—Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing, and Finance—to ensure successful execution of product development projects and profitable growth.
  • Set strategies for marketing and commercialization activities for product launches.
  • Represent the product category at customer events and internal meetings.
  • Support the development and maintenance of product literature, training materials, pricing, and marketing collateral.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer goods manufacturing or related environments with a focus on product development and launches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrix team environment.
  • Proven project management and team leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to think creatively and offer new ideas or solutions.
  • Capable of handling sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
  • Engineering or marketing background with relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
