Job Description: Projects Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Projects Engineer with a strong technical background to oversee and manage various IT projects within our client's organization. This role requires effective communication, project management expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage computer networking projects from initial planning through execution and completion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement appropriate solutions to keep projects on track.
- Stakeholder Communication: Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and prepare detailed project reports covering scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet technical quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including detailed work records, time logs, and technical documentation.
- Support and Escalation: Act as an escalation point for the Service Delivery team, assisting with complex support tickets and providing technical guidance.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement, implementing process enhancements as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred, with 1+ year of experience executing IT projects.
- Certifications: At least 2 technical certifications from the following: Microsoft MCSE/MCSA/MCSD, Modern Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate, Enterprise Administrator Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cisco CCIE/CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Cloud+/A+/Network+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, VMWare VCP, ITILv4, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISSP.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in technology solutions within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry.
- Experience managing small to large-scale IT projects for clients with up to 3,000 users across multiple locations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop, Active Directory, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure AD (Now Entra), Apple MacOS, Cisco Networking.
