We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to play a key role in shaping the company’s cybersecurity framework. This position is responsible for developing security architecture, standards, and governance processes that align with business objectives and emerging threat landscapes. While this role involves architectural responsibilities, it is hands-on with cybersecurity initiatives, requiring strong technical expertise. Reporting to the Architecture Leader within Enterprise Architecture, you will actively collaborate with Domain Architects, Solution Architects, and Operations teams. This role is based onsite four days per week with occasional travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a security architecture framework to align business objectives with cybersecurity strategies.
- Design and implement security standards, patterns, and governance processes that enhance the organization’s security posture.
- Assess and mitigate security risks by integrating security controls across applications, networks, data, and cloud environments.
- Monitor evolving cyber threats and ensure security architecture remains aligned with emerging risks.
- Lead security evaluations for mergers and acquisitions, developing integration strategies for newly acquired entities.
- Guide security solution selection and architecture decisions, balancing security best practices with business needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise on security technologies, DevSecOps, and cloud security best practices.
- Influence key stakeholders, including executive leadership and development teams, to ensure security is prioritized across all technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT security experience, including 5+ years in security architecture.
- Expert-level certification such as CISSP required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong background in developing security reference architectures, governance models, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Broad expertise across multiple security domains (IAM, network security, endpoint security, application security, cloud security, data security).
- Hands-on experience designing security controls for Azure, AWS, and on-premise environments.
- Deep knowledge of security trends, emerging threats, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience working within banking or financial services is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with ArchiMate modeling language and enterprise architecture methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment (4 days per week in-office).
