We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong month-end close experience to support financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and compliance processes. This role requires an experienced professional with a background in financial analysis, process improvement, and ERP systems.
Role Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end journal entries, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities. This role includes collaborating with offshore teams, supporting plant controllers, and assisting with variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate has experience in a midsized to larger company environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end journal entries for intercompany transactions, cash, accruals, and adjustments.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations for U.S., Canada, and Mexico entities.
- Monitor and record AP/AR netting processes and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support FP&A deliverables, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Assist with SOX compliance, internal controls, and documentation.
- Prepare schedules for balance sheet analysis and SEC filings.
- Work on intercompany transactions and financing-related accounting.
- Provide ad-hoc analytics and support projects as needed.
- Assist with external audits and work closely with key stakeholders across departments.
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong month-end close and variance analysis experience.
- Experience in a midsized to larger company environment with broad responsibilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Process improvement mindset and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to speak up when identifying issues or opportunities.
