Senior IT Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, maintain, and operate security systems and tools to mitigate data security and cybersecurity risks across IT and OT environments.
• Troubleshoot and respond to security system issues, coordinating with vendors as necessary.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and manage maintenance contracts for security systems.
• Evaluate and maintain the cybersecurity environment, including access controls, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, detection, response, and training.
• Recommend solutions to enhance cybersecurity measures and assist in improving business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and procedures for security technologies.
• Lead security projects from initiation to completion, including managing timelines, resources, status updates, and budgets.
• Stay informed on current cybersecurity developments, emerging technologies, and threats to IT and OT environments.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, serving as a role model in demonstrating core values such as Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence.
• Support the company’s emergency response efforts, including participation in training, short-term travel, and backfill duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies.
• Experience with access controls, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies in IT and OT environments.
• Proven ability to document and maintain systems, procedures, and diagrams.
• Project management skills, including handling timelines, budgets, and cross-functional resources.
• Proactive approach to staying updated on emerging security technologies and threats.
