Senior Credit Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of customers, managing high-value accounts, and analyzing financial statements to make informed credit decisions. You will work closely with internal teams and external customers to assess risk, determine credit limits, and ensure timely payment processing. This position will allow you to have a significant impact on the company's financial operations by maintaining strong customer relationships while mitigating financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statements, third-party reporting tools, and customer payment history to evaluate and adjust credit limits for accounts.
- Review existing and new accounts, determining appropriate credit limits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to monitor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and facilitate credit decisions that support operational needs.
- Maintain high-risk reserves, review the AR Reserve process, and participate in monthly reviews to ensure optimal portfolio management.
- Communicate credit decisions and any necessary adjustments to senior management and customers in a timely and clear manner.
- Actively contribute to major departmental projects and cross-functional teams to improve processes, drive quality, and streamline operations.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to SOX, Internal Audit, Securitization, and ISO audits.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume transaction credit environment.
- Proven expertise in financial statement review, ratio analysis, and understanding of operating cash flow or EBITDA.
- Strong proficiency with tools such as Dunn & Bradstreet, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
- Experience with ERP systems such as JDE or SAP is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP) and general Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (candidates with degrees in progress will also be considered).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and convey complex information effectively to both internal teams and customers.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
