Job Title: Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Location: Onsite, Full-Time

Job Summary:
A highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer is needed to lead and support the organization’s network security architecture, operations, and compliance efforts. This role involves defining and implementing security strategies, managing advanced network systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful security initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in network security technologies and a proactive approach to improving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Define strategies and technology roadmaps for network security architecture and implement fit-for-purpose technical security solutions.
  • Identify, plan, and execute necessary security changes to enhance methods and techniques.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in network security, providing guidance on configuration and installation of new technology.
  • Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and enterprise-level network security infrastructure.
  • Monitor systems and logs for breaches using tools like SIEM and vulnerability management platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams on security initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Manage and oversee enterprise domain controllers, DHCP, and other critical network functions.
  • Support system integrations, upgrades, and manage special projects as assigned.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the overall development of the security team.
  • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as required, including after-hours support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in information security.
  • Hands-on expertise with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, authentication systems, and other security tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and technologies (VPN, LAN, WAN, WLAN).
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing 20+ firewalls in an enterprise environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Azure and AWS environments.
  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions like Salesforce, Workday, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of IAM platforms and protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth).
  • Expertise in cloud-based security platforms and zero-trust network architecture (ZTNA).
  • Experience with Cisco, FortiGate, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto firewalls, and virtual firewall appliances.
  • Operating system experience with Windows and Linux.
  • Endpoint protection using SCCM and Web-Application Firewalls.
