Workday Analyst
We are seeking a seasoned Workday Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will be the key liaison between various departments, including HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance, ensuring that Workday’s capabilities align with the company’s operational needs. You will be responsible for managing complex data systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and running key reports for various stakeholders. Additionally, you will support HR technology efforts involving Workday HCMS and assist in testing system upgrades and payroll-related changes. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and other teams on all matters related to Workday.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business requirements regarding the Workday system.
- Support HR technology efforts, particularly Workday HCMS, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Assist the Payroll Manager in supporting the Workday Payroll and Time Tracking systems.
- Develop, run, and analyze complex queries and reports to support HR and Payroll functions.
- Conduct audits and perform quality assurance to ensure data integrity and compliance with pay and tax regulations.
- Perform testing for system upgrades and changes to payroll practices.
- Ensure Workday configuration complies with company policies, contracts, and federal and state payroll regulations.
- Stay current on legal and regulatory changes, ensuring that the Workday system remains compliant.
- Serve as a backup to Payroll staff as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience working with Workday in a Retail or CPG industry environment.
- Proven expertise in Workday HCMS, Payroll, and Time Tracking systems.
- Strong ability to manage complex data and generate detailed reports and queries.
- In-depth understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, IT, and Payroll.
- Experience with software testing and system upgrades in Workday.
- Strong work ethic combined with an easy-going and approachable personality.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
